■～ing１語で「～したとき」，過去分詞（～ed）１語で「～されているので」など，接続詞の意味を伴うはたらきをすることがあります（分詞構文）。

※when（～のとき）の意味が添えられています。

※fewには「ほとんどゼロの～」という否定の意味があります。

　  ※接続詞while（～のとき）は，waitingの意味をはっきりさせるために使われています。

■過去分詞（～ed）の1語で「～されると」「～されたので」などの意味を表します。
